I stumbled upon this beautiful little bird while out for a walk the other day. I have since learned that he is a species from the starling family, called the European Starling, also known as a common starling.

Hi Mary Lou! This photo of the little starling is awesome! You have captured the beauty of his iridescent feathers perfectly! And that brilliant orange beak! We have thousands of starlings where I live and most people consider them a "nuisance" bird. I think they are beautiful! I am glad to see this photo of one! L/F
