While visiting Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, I was captivated by the nostalgia feel of the streets and alleyways.
This Fine Art Photography Print, " The Alleyways of Old San Juan", by Mary Lou Chmura, is an artistic creation which was taken in the magical golden hour of the day in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Like so many times in this hour where the light is magical; I found myself taken back by the beauty of the light from above; illuminating off of the beautiful architecture and lighting up this very narrow alleyway.
There is something very resonating of this time of day when it comes to creating fine art photography. That special glow of illumination connects very strongly to my soul and I feel one with the subject that I am photographing.
It's hard to explain; as I feel captivated by the light, the beauty unfolds through my lens. It feels as though time just dissipates as I am completely lost and immersed in the process of creation.

Really beautiful, Mary Lou!! My husband and I were so excited to go there for our anniversary two or three years ago, and then right before we were to go, the big hurricanes hit! So we had to cancel and change our plans! And now I guess we really need to wait a few years before trying to go back.... but I really hope to still see it someday!!! :)))
