WELCOME LITTLE ONE

This month I was grateful that I was told about an eagle’s nest in the Villages Florida by another photographer and was fortunate on my first visit to see both parents with their newborn eaglets. I was also fortunate to capture one of the new little ones in my composition with mom and dad.

This nest was huge and at the top of some very tall pine trees. I was familiar with the same nest as they have used it before. When I was there photographing these eagles, another photographer was kind to share the history of these two eagles, Cléo and Leo.

I was also fortunate enough to witness them defending their nest against another eagle named Leroy, whom was showing signs of aggression towards the birds and apparently used to have a relationship with Cleo.

I hope to go back and capture a few more images as the babies grow over the next couple of weeks.
